#Freshwater4change | Storytelling Challenge

We want your stories!

We are reaching out far and wide, asking for your stories of freshwater, to be told through photographs and short videos.  Those moments and memories that transport you to a time and a place by the water.  One that you can see in your mind’s eye, and has a story to go along with it.  We only need the caption, or you can tell more!

Our focus is on students, as inspired and entrusted agents of change, from
Pre-Kindergarten up to 12th Grade.

Students, we are asking you for your stories, to be shared in classrooms, at home, and with us, through artwork, photographs, video clips, and words.

We are surrounded by inland lakes, the St. Mary’s River, Lake Superior, and Lake Huron.  How are lucky are we, to live in an area so rich in freshwater.

We want to hear about your favourite freshwater memories, whether it’s ice fishing in the winter, the magic of ice thawing in the spring, splashing in cool water on a hot summer’s day, or walking along a shoreline, Fall colours blazing.

Share your Water Story a few simple steps

Share your favourite memory or experience you have with fresh water in the Upper Great Lakes. Make sure to also tell us why freshwater is so important, and why the Upper Great Lakes region is so unique and valuable.
